A Pictorial Review of December 2010

Though our activities have become more routine, our love for the work and the people continues to grow. We are as eager to serve and as excited by our challenges as we were at the beginning of our mission.

This Christmas season we shared in many service, worship, social and cultural activities. Not every activity is recorded in pictures, but here is a brief digital review of recent happenings.

Again this year, we had the privilege of delivering 20 gift baskets to missionaries throughout the island. These generous gifts were provided by members of Futenma Military Branch.

Of course, primarily we focused on the Reason for the Season ~ the celebration of the birth of the Christ Child. And, as always, we are reminded that the Babe in the manger in Bethlehem is He who suffered in Gethsemane and died on the cross for all of us. But for His death, His birth would have no significance.

More than 30 people turned out on a chilly New Year's Day morning to witness the baptism of a young marine in the waters of the East China Sea.
